Intern Program

Providing inspiration and training to young people is an important part of FSC’s mission. Our theatre offers a creative outlet for teenagers and young adults, asks them to assume real responsibilities, and trains them in specialized skills. Interns are drawn from the local community, local schools and colleges, where FSC holds master-classes and workshops during the academic year (visit Education and Outreach page for details). Many Interns have capitalized on their experience with the FSC by continuing the study of theatre – as actors, writers, and technicians – at undergraduate level.

Each season the FSC offers places to between 4 and 8 Junior Interns, aged 14 or above (no previous experience necessary), and 2 Senior Interns (college level, some experience necessary):

  • Junior Interns assist in stage management, lighting and sound rigging and operation, stage construction, and performance.
  • Job training is provided.
  • Junior Interns expect to work a full summer and are awarded a small stipend.
  • Senior Interns contribute production stage management, lighting and sound design.

If you are interested in joining our Intern Program, at either Junior or Senior level, or if you are interested in supporting our Intern Program, please contact David Bridel.
